Each day is a gift. It is a gift that I do not intend to waste. If I was given a free afternoon tomorrow, meaning no school but a chance to do whatever I wanted, I know exactly what I would do.
If I had a free afternoon tomorrow, I would go to the beach, most likely on an uninhabited island in the Florida Keys. I would take out my uncle’s boat with a few friends and my sister. We would go anchor at this island with its beautiful white sand beaches, the water so clear. Here, on this island, this beach, it would be so peaceful. I would lay out with a book, my music playing, but softly so I could still hear the water and the birds. I would make sure to bring a volleyball net and a ball too. My friends and I would break off into teams, and play beach volleyball alongside the ocean. When that game is finished I would swim in the ocean, snorkel through a nearby coral reef, and just float along. Finally I would head back to the beach and enjoy the warmth of the sun on my skin one last time before calling it a day.
If I had a free afternoon tomorrow, I would go to paradise. The place I call paradise, but not alone. I’d take the people I love. I would enjoy one of my ideal places of peace and happiness, and I would go in a heartbeat.
That sounds wonderful! the beach is a great place to play volleyball and catch some rays. Tuning your senses to the tropical nature is the perfect way to spend a free afternoon.
