My Favorite Ride at the Amusement Park and How it Reflects my Approach to Life...(College Admission 2)

Amusement parks are homes to shows, water parks, water rides, baby rides, Ferris wheels and best of all, roller coasters.  Roller coasters are not for everyone, but for me, they are.  They are so thrilling, so exciting, I can never wait to get on.

To me, picking a favorite roller coaster is very difficult, because I enjoy so many.  I usually love all the ones I go on.  But, one of my all time favorites is The Griffin at Busch Gardens in Virginia.  I’d say this is my favorite because it’s different than most roller coasters.  It seats thirty people, three rows of ten.  Not only does it hold more than most rides, it starts off a little different.  Right before the drop it dangles you over the edge for a good thirty seconds, even though it feels like much longer.  No one knows when it’ll drop you down that first hill.  Then, once it does start going, my stomach does that little flip-flop, and when I’m on a roller coaster, I love that.

Picking roller coasters, not only this one but any big roller coaster in general, makes me an adventurous person.  Not just any one would be willing to be strapped on to a metal track and go upside down!  Just as someone may not want to skydive or eat sushi.  But for me, roller coasters give me a more adventurous approach to life, to try new things, to be different.  I will continue to do just that.

  3. Like Sara, I have never been to Busch Gardens, I really want to go there now. I too, am also a gigantic roller coaster fan. I love anything that pushes the limits. I like how you described the suspense in the beginning and how nobody knows what is going to happen. I also like that it seats so many people because like most people, I do not like when I get seperated from my friends when gettin gon a roller coaster.
